Jason Eklund Biography

Singer songwriter, poet, guitarists, drummer, piano player, harmonicat, water color and house painter, roofer, Oldsmobile driver, hitchhiker and hobo, folk blues troubadour Jason Eklund has been performing at festivals, concerts, bars, coffee houses and rallies nationwide for over 25 years.

From the Midwest, Jason has based out of New Orleans, Denver, Austin, L.A., and Nashville over the years, but is currently back where he started in Illinois. Jason has shared the stage with notable artists such as Iris Dement, Utah Phillips, Junior Wells, Townes Van Zandt, Chris Smither, Wayne Hancock and the Old Crow Medicine Show to name a few. With past releases on Flying Fish, Gadfly, Lucky 13 and Lazy S.O.B. Records he has continued to write, record, and perform independently and is ready to travel to a town or venue near you.
